Production – Where the Rubber Meets the Road
All the rest of the business issues I write about mean zilch unless you have great production. This is the one area that you as the business owner need to devote your energy towards over any other.
DOC is an acronym for the Daily Operating Control report – one of the operating control reports used in business. Examples include production based reports or daily cash control. These reports are used to maintain the company’s weekly or monthly controls.
DOC’s are customary with operations, specifically high production rate manufacturing facilities. DOC’s are uncommon with the financial reports for entities unless they are high volume entities such as banks, retail stores or restaurants. Examples of financial DOC’s include:
1) Closing tickets, 2) Cash drawer reports, 3) Deposits, 4) Payroll time sheets and others.
