Very similar to articles of incorporation, it is a set of clauses identifying the organization for legal purposes. It is customarily filed with your state’s secretary or commission responsible for recognizing new businesses. Their are many different names for the same subject matter and they include: 1) Charter, 2) Articles of Incorporation, 3) Constitution, 4) Certificate of Incorporation and so on.

Public Charity

A public charity is another term for the coveted Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)3 status.  This designation allows all donations made to the charity to be tax deductible for taxpayers.  To obtain this designation, the organization must have the proper provisions within the organizing documents.
