PRIVACY POLICY FOR BUSINESSECON.ORG

[do_widget id=text-65]

The Privacy Policyprivacy of my visitors to Businessecon.org  is important to me.

At Businessecon.org I recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. Here is the privacy policy and its effect on information and what types of personal information I receive and collect when you use and visit Businessecon.org. The privacy policy also explains how I safeguard your information. I never sell your personal information to third parties. This site is designed for educational purposes. There is currently a value investing program registration which collects your name and e-mail address if you register; registration is not required to explore the site. There are no other forms to collect information about the reader on this site. Any actual collection of information is done via the standard search engine portal you used to find an article on this website.

Privacy Policy – Log Files

As with most other websites, I collect and use the data contained in log files. In reality, I don’t have the time to utilize the data. The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as Comcast or Shaw Cable), the browser you used to visit my site (such as Chrome or Firefox), the time you visited my site and which pages you visited throughout my site. It does not provide me with any personal information such as your name or address. In effect, I have no clue who you are. And honestly, I don’t care to know. The only time I would know who you are is if you register for either the ‘Free’ weekly updates for the value investing fund or if you join as a club member. Even if you do join as a club member, I only get your name and that’s it!

Privacy Policy – Advertising

There are no affiliate connections on this site. HOWEVER, I use to have them and there may be a leftover link to an affiliate I missed when I cleaned the site of affiliate links. About three articles on this site are sourced from third parties that paid a fee to post their respective article on this site. To my knowledge, no outside products or services are sold through this site.

Privacy Policy – Cookies and Web Beacons

I do use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit my site. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of my features, such as forums or educational programs. I personally don’t track this; simply put, I don’t have the time nor the desire. Your movements and preferences on my website are none of my business.

I have used third party advertisements on Businessecon.org to support my site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on my site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit my site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites). Currently, as of 05/31/2022, this site is not utilizing any form of outside sourced advertising. In addition, I believe I have erased all forms of outside advertising; but, there may be one or two links I missed.

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off my cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with my site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Privacy Policy – Children’s Privacy and Exclusion

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under eighteen (18) years of age unless the collection complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).  If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, do not communicate or send any information about yourself to me. If I discover that a child under the age of 18 has provided me with personal identifiable information, I will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete that child’s personal identifiable information from my records. In addition, I will use deny protocols to prevent further access to this site by excluding the particular IP address related to any child. This site is designed to educate adults about investments, business principles and industry standards; it utilizes some advanced thinking and mathematical algorithms to formulate decisions in business. I have learned that children and immature adults are only interested in speculating and do not want to adhere to personal restraint value investing requires.

Privacy Policy – Emails & Communications

CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: Any email message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed. It may contain information that is confidential, privileged, and exempt from disclosure under applicable law. If you are not the intended recipient you are hereby notified that any unauthorized review, dissemination, distribution, or copying of this information is strictly prohibited. If you are not the intended recipient, please notify me immediately by returning the original message to the sender and then delete the original message.

Summary – Pricacy Policy

Overall, my position is to protect your privacy to the best of my ability and what the law allows. I have no interest in sharing information with others unless directed by a governmental authority. Even then, if I feel it is unjust, I’ll seek legal guidance and comply with the law
